Scott County (Georgetown, KY) built a 21-point lead in the second half and cruised to a 75-64 victory over St. Farncis (Baltimore, MD) in the opening round of the 2009 Beach Ball Classic.

Scott County (6-2) connected on 52.1 percent from the field for the game, including over 66 percent in the second half, to advance into the quarterfinals.  Chad Jackson led the Cardinals with 24 points and 10 rebounds.  Ge-Lawn Guyn added 13 points while Dekotah Euton posted a double-double wih 12 points and 11 boards.

Greg Lewie paced St. Francis (6-4) with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Ronald Williams added 16 points for the Panthers.
