Wheeler (Marietta, GA) captured fifth place at the 2009 Beach Ball Classic with a 75-65 victory over Alexander Hamilton (Milwaukee, WI),

Wheeler (10-3) led 34-31 at the half but Alexander Hamilton (5-2) scored the first seven points of the second 16-minute period to take a 38-34 advantage on Elgin Cook's layup with 14:17 on the clock.

The teams would battle back and forth over the next several minutes before Wheeler used a 14-4 run to open a commanding 62-52 advantage with 5:09 to play.  Wheeler went on to build a 13 point lead down the stretch in cruising to the win.

Wheeler was led by Jelan Kendrick's 25 points, while Darnell Harris paced Alexander Hamilton with 22 points and seven rebounds.
